The mission of the Leu Civic Center, Inc. 
is to organize and implement recreational 
youth programs along with family support services 
for Mascoutah, Scott AFB and surrounding 
communities. Our goal is to provide engaging, 
low cost programs and classes to encourage 
children and families to live their best possible lives.

The gym will be open for volleyball from 6-7:30 each Tuesday evening.





After School Care

We have spaces available in the  after school care program.

After School care includes a healthy snack, kiddie boot camp, homework assistance, and supervised play. 

The cost is $5 per day. To register or for more information, please contact the office at 618-566-2175 or come in and complete the paperwork. All participants must be members of the Leu Civic Center at the cost of $40 per family per year.

Masks are required and social distancing is practiced.

Craft Class


Craft ClassCraft Class
February Craft class will take place on the 18th. Due to high demand two sessions will be held. The first session will run from 5:00-6:00 and the second will run from 6:00-7:00. This month's class will be jewelry making.

You may sign up at this time. The fee is $20 per child.

Future activities will include, March is TBD, and April making bath bombs and lotions.

Becoming a member of the Leu Civic Center is simple and inexpensive.
Individuals - $25 annually Families - $40 annually
Hours Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Membership allows access to the building and enables you to register for classes.

One Day Projects
  1. Winterize garden
  2. Maintain flower beds 
  3. Decorate for holidays
  4. Clean swings and remove graffiti
  5. Power wash playground equipment
  6. Pick up trash and nails in parking lot
  7. Replace safety netting in gymnasium
  8. Repair fence and gate around garden
  9. Raking out wood chips on the playground
Bigger projects
  1. Take ownership of planting and maintaining garden area (possibly adding 4 new beds)
  2. Build 1/2 steps or three more blocks for bleacher stairs.
  3. Paint bleachers
  4. Install new flooring on the lower level and stairs
  5. Paint hallways
  6. Revamp storage cubbies in lunch room to be usable
  7. Build locking cubbies to be used in the gymnasium
  8. Repair and replace restroom stall doors

We ask that you be 18 or over. (Others may be considered on a case by case basis. You need a willingness to work with children, a love of art and enthusium.
