youth programs along with family support services 
for Mascoutah, Scott AFB and surrounding 
communities. Our goal is to provide engaging, 
low cost programs and classes to encourage 
children and families to live their best possible lives.

Nite at the Races
May 7, 2022 the Leu Civic Center, Inc. will be hosting be a fun filled night with video horse racing and betting with fake money. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the evening. Tickets are $20.00 each and guests are encouraged to dress for the Kentucky Derby (don't forget the hats). Drinks and snacks may be brought to the event. We hope to see you at the races!! Tickets are available at the Leu or from any board member.

Join us for a day of medieval arts, sciences, knights fighting, and dueling musketeers. 

Tool Time With Mr. Steve

June 6-10 10:00-11:30 or 1-2:30 Cost $40.00 All ages can to learn to use basic tools! Join us this this summer to use tools to build different items. Projects will include building a toolbox, a bee box, a candy dispenser, and more. Cost is $40.00

June 6-10 10:00-11:30 or 1:00-2:30 All ages welcome Cost $40.00 Join our edible science camp. Projects will focus on edible treats such as pop rocks, slime, glow in the dark gelatin, lollipops, and candy chromatography.

Come Grow With Us

June 13-17 10:00-11:30 Grade 1 and up Cost $40 Come learn about plants and how they grow. You will help plant a garden at the Leu which you will be able to help maintain and harvest from as the plants mature. You will learn why plants are so important to all of us.

Crafts with Ms. Carole

June 13-17 10:00-11:30 or 1-2:30 All ages Cost $40.00 Summer crafting for all ages. Campers will make crafts centered around wildlife. All projects will be attached to nature either by the items used or by creating things to attract birds.

Dinner and a Movie School

June 21-23 9-12 or 1-4 All ages Free Junior chefs will learn how to prepare nutritious menu items. Each participant will take home their very own cookbook. This school is sponsored by University of Illinois.

Adopt a Reading Buddy

June 27-July 1 10:00-11:30 Recommended for ages 4-8 Cost $40 Young readers will "rescue" an animal to have as a reading buddy. They will enjoy hands-on activities, make a pet home and take home their very own "pet" (stuffed animal) when the camp ends.

Art Camp

June 27-July 1 10:00-11:30 Grades 4-8 Cost $40.00 Campers will enjoy creating art and learning how math can become fun at the same time.

Art Camp

June 27-July 1 1-2:30 Grades 1-3 Cost $40.00 Campers will connect art with literature. They will have the opportunity to use many different mediums.

Medieval Arts and Crafts

July 7 12:00-3:00 Ages 6 and up Cost $20.00 The Barony of Shattered Crystal will present an interactive camp in authentic Renaissance style.

Medieval Make and Take Day

July 14 12:00-3:00 Ages 8 and up Cost $20.00 The Barony of Shattered Crystal will present an authentic renaissance experience where camper will create items to take home at the end of the day.

Jahadi White came and spoke with the attendees along with playing with all of them. Everyone received an autographed photo and a picture with him when the camp ended.

ZUMBA
ZUMBA is now at the Leu!!! Classes will begin Monday, September 13 at 6:00PM.
All participants must be members ($40 per year per family or $25 per year per individual) The price of a class is $6 per class or $20 for four.

After School Care 2021-2022

Care from the end of school until 5:30 on school days. Cost - $5 per child per day. Will end on the last full day of school and resume when school reopens.

We have spaces available in the  after school care program.

After School care includes a healthy snack, kiddie boot camp, homework assistance, and supervised play. 

The cost is $5 per day. To register or for more information, please contact the office at 618-566-2175 or come in and complete the paperwork. All participants must be members of the Leu Civic Center at the cost of $40 per family per year.

Masks are required and social distancing is practiced.

Membership
Becoming a member of the Leu Civic Center is simple and inexpensive.
Individuals - $25 annually Families - $40 annually
Hours Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Membership allows access to the building and enables you to register for classes.
