Position: Gardening Club Leader
Qualifications: Must be 18 or older
Wide knowledgeable base concerning plants, gardening, and environment
Desire to share the joy of gardening and patience to teach children
Goal:
Help youth learn the basics of plant care
Assist youth with planting projects (growing plants from seed)
Teach youth how to maintain landscaping, potted plants, and gardening
Teach the importance of environmental concerns
Be a positive role model and a mentor
Time Commitment: Gardening Club generally occurs once or twice a month and will last for approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. Most active from spring through fall.
Location of work: Leu Civic Center Homework Room (second floor) or outdoor garden area

Special Qualifications: Must be able to climb stairs. The building has activity areas on
