Nature: Biomes & Habitats

Service Description

Students will learn about the eight biomes found on earth and will learn about the specific characteristics of each along with the native plants and animals. Assisted by the teacher, students will research a chosen biome, create a display, and share their information in a class presentation. Learning Goals: ● Identify the eight major biomes. ● Locate where each biome is located on earth. ● Identify unique geographic features including climate for their biome. ● Research plants and animals native to their biome Lab Activities: ● Learn how to choose a website for research. ● Use the computer to locate information. ● Select appropriate information. ● Create a trifold about their topic. ● Present their project. ● Locate a video clip related to their topic to share with the class.
