Service Description

In this free class, students will use writing and editing skills to build on their reading skills. Learning Goals: ● Develop a format for a student produced newspaper. ● Brainstorm ideas/ topics for articles. ● Develop computer skills to assist in writing. ● Write articles and learn to edit their writing. Activities: ● Learn to develop questions for an interview and conduct an interview. ● Research a topic and write about it. ● Improve computer skills. ● Create a newspaper in a paper and a digital format. ● Produce a videoed news show.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel up to 3 days prior to the event/ending of registration for class/club, you will receive a full refund with the exception of the processing fee. If you cancel after registration is closed but before the event/class begins you will receive the amount back minus the processing fee and the supply fee. If you cancel after a class/club has begun, money will not be refunded. ***If we as the Leu Civic Center cancel a class, you will receive a refund including the processing fee.
