Odyssey of the Mind
The Leu Civic Center is excited to host an informational meeting about Odyssey of the Mind!
Odyssey of the Mind (OM) is an inclusive, hands-on, and student-driven creative problem solving program that provides something for everyone: artists, musicians, engineers, builders, mathletes, and more! It is founded on the principle that creativity and problem solving are not innate abilities but skills that can be taught and learned! Come learn about this unique team program!
*The program is also STEM designated and meets 21st Century Skills requirements!
Please keep in mind that we will try to get as many students on teams as possible, but teams are limited to 7 students. If there are not enough coaches, we may not be able to place your child on a team this year. We currently have three teams (Division 1 and Division 2) and have 1-2 spots available for each team!! Practices will be held on Fridays afterschool!!
The Leu was pleased to host a middle school Odyssey of the Mind team for the 2022-2023 season! We are currently seeking adult volunteers to serve as OM team coaches for this upcoming year! Coaches work in teams of 2-3 adults, so bring a friend to do it with you! OM will be releasing their long-term problems in September, and teams will compete in late March or early April. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in serving as a coach!
*All participants must have an active Leu membership to participate in classes. Family memberships cost $50 for the whole year! Individual memberships (age 15+) only cost $35 for the whole year!
